Playa Dorada and the work continues
The construction crews at Playa Dorada continue to move dirt, dig holes and put in what appear to be roads. We have current pictures of a second sewage holding tank being built below the tidal level ( below the tide line so that when the tide is in the hole fills with seawater)within 60 meters of the high tide line and behind the existing homes. There is no existing treatment plant , no pump or lines running over the dune to a city hook up. Where will this sewage go when the tanks are full?? Is the city of Rocky Point issueing permits for this kind of work in spite of an emparo on the property? If not, someone is very comfortable violating the law and potenially destroying the ecosysystem on this beach. When will it stop - no one seems to know?
